I just got a Canon Xti DLSR as a gift to replace my old EOS 1000F 35mm. All the Canon lenses work, but I have a 28mm Sigma lens that provokes an Err 99 from the camera when I shoot.

A bit of web research suggests that I should get it re-chipped to work with the newer camera. I can find no details on where to go or direct reports from people who have had it done. Has anybody done this?

i have a series of camera lenses i used with my canon A1 body. I am considering buying a newer model of canon's digital EOS camera range. Any suggestions about which model EOS body I should buy that will be compatible with my A1 EOS body?
